A nickel pincer complex is found to catalyze alkyl–alkyl Kumada coupling reactions of 1,3- and 1,4-substituted cyclohexyl halides and tetrahydropyrans with an excellent diastereoselectivity. The mechanistic investigation of the coupling reactions provides ...

This work describes the use of boron-nitrogen dative bonds in supramolecular chemistry. Molecular tectons have been synthesized for crystal engineering. These tectons are linked via B-N dative bonds to form 1-dimensional polymers and macrocycles. B-N dativ ...

Mono-N-arylation of benzamidines 1 with aryl boronic acids 2 was effectively achieved in the presence of a catalytic amount of Cu(OAc)2 and NaOPiv under mild aerobic conditions. Combining this step with an intramolecular direct CH bond functionalization, c ...

The nickel pincer complex 1 catalyzes the cross-coupling of the title compounds with remarkable substrate scope and functional group tolerance. A nickel/alkynyl species was isolated and shown to be catalytically competent. THF=tetrahydrofuran, O-TMEDA=bis[ ...

The versatile tri-tert-butylphosphonium tetrafluoroborate ligand is prepared in a convenient, simple, and high-yielding procedure without the isolation of sensitive intermediates. ...

A series of hydrophilic N,N-dimethylpyrrolidinium-and N,N-dimethylpiperidinium-based ionic liquids (ILs) have been prepared and applied as reaction media in the Wacker oxidation of styrene by hydrogen peroxide using PdCl2 as the catalyst. The efficiency of ...

NiII complexes of the new pincer amidobis(amine) ligand are described. The Ni chloride complex catalyzes Kumada-Corriu-Tamao coupling of unactivated alkyl halides with alkyl Grignard reagents, as well as double C-C coupling of CH2Cl2 with alkyl Grignard re ...

The solvent-free selective hydrogenation of 2-methyl-3-butyn-2-ol (MBY) to 2-methyl-3-buten-2-ol (MBE) was studied over a Pd/ZnO structured catalyst and compared to its behavior in water-assisted conditions. The catalytic behavior was correlated with the s ...

In the presence of iron(II) chloride (FeCl2 ; 20 mol%) and potassium tert-butoxide (t- BuOK; 4 equiv.) in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), aryl and heteroaryl iodides undergo stereoselective Mizoroki–Heck C—C cross-coupling reactions with styrenes at 60 8C givin ...
