Two-level systems (TLSs) are the basic units of quantum computers but face a trade-off between operation speed and coherence due to shared coupling paths. Here, we investigate a TLS given by a singlet-triplet (ST+) transition. We identify a magnetic-field ...

In less than a century, electronic computers have become essential to everyday life and have transformed scientific research. Their use in solving scientific problems has integrated theoretical and experimental approaches, often blurring the lines between ...

A compact platform to integrate emitters in a cavity-like support is to embed quantum dots (QDs) in a photonic crystal (PhC) structure, making them promising candidates for integrated quantum photonic circuits. The emission properties of QDs can be modifie ...

We propose a universal framework for classifying quantum states based on their scale-resolved correlation structure. Using the recently introduced information lattice, which provides an operational definition of the total amount of correlations at each sca ...

Metasurfaces provide an ideal platform for optical sensing because they produce strong light-field confinement and enhancement over extended regions that allow us to identify deep-subwavelength layers of organic and inorganic molecules. However, the requir ...

This study investigates Quantum Extreme Learning Machines (QELMs), which enhance classical Extreme Learning Machines (ELMs) by incorporating quantum features. ...

Full characterization of electric-field waveforms in amplitude and phase is achieved across the terahertz to visible spectral range through interaction with an optical pulse shorter than a half-cycle period via the Pockels (linear electro-optic) effect. Th ...

The spin-orbit field and interfacial exchange field (IEF) are two major interface phenomena, and the detection and manipulation of these fields can enable a variety of nanoscale spintronics devices. Optimizing the IEF, which governs the spin-dependent scat ...

One of the most promising platforms for the realization of spin-based quantum computing are planar germanium quantum wells embedded between silicon-germanium barriers. To achieve comparably thin stacks with little surface roughness, this type of heterostru ...

Residual noise photons in a readout resonator become a major source of dephasing for a superconducting qubit when the resonator is optimized for a fast, high-fidelity dispersive readout. Here, we propose and demonstrate a nonlinear Purcell filter that supp ...

Designing SPADs with high sensitivity in a wide wavelength range is crucial since the applications utilizing SPAD-based sensors target different parts of the spectrum. Here, we introduce a novel technique to achieve a wider sensitivity spectrum through the ...

Recent decades have seen significant advancements in integrated photonics, driven by improvements in nanofabrication technology. This field has been developed from integrated semiconductor lasers and low-loss waveguides to optical modulators, enabling the ...

We observed that Lithium Niobate and Lithium Tantalate photonic integrated microresonators exhibit an unexpected Flicker type (i.e. 1/f1.2) scaling in the intrinsic refractive noise spectrum, significantly deviating from the well-established thermorefracti ...

Thin film aluminum nitride (AlN) stands out as a promising material for integrated photonics due to its wide bandgap of 6.1 eV, facilitating efficient operation across diverse spectral ranges. Its inherent electro-optic and nonlinear optical properties mak ...

2D van der Waals heterojunctions (vdWH) have emerged as an attractive platform for the realization of optoelectronic synaptic devices, which are critical for energy-efficient computing systems. Photogating induced by charge traps at the interfaces indeed r ...
