We search for CP violation in the singly-Cabibbo-suppressed decay D-0 -> K+K-pi(+)pi(-) using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 988 fb(-1) collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-). We measure a set of five kinematically dependen ...

A search for CP violation in Lambda(0)(b)-> pK(- )and Lambda(0)(b) -> p pi(-) decays is presented using a sample of pp collisions collected with the LHCb detector and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0fb(-1). The CP-violating asymmetries are ...

The time-dependent CP asymmetries in B-0 -> pi(+)pi(-) and B-(s)(0) -> K+K- decays are measured using a data sample of p p collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 ...

The data sample of Lambda(0)(b) -> J/psi pK(-) decays acquired with the LHCb detector from 7 and 8 TeV pp collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1), is inspected for the presence of J/psi p or J/psi K- contributions with minimal ass ...

This thesis is exploring the measurements of the photon polarisation in radiative

B

decays at LHCb, which are mediated through

b\to s\gamma

transitions. To ensure optimal physics performance, procedures to align the LHCb detector and to monitor the ali ...

We report a numerical and experimental investigation of fabrication tolerances and outcoupling in optically pumped III-nitride nanolasers operating near lambda = 460 nm, in which feedback is provided by a one-dimensional photonic crystal nanobeam cavity an ...

The first observation of the B-s(0) -> eta'eta' decay is reported. The study is based on a sample of proton-proton collisions corresponding to 3.0 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity collected with the LHCb detector. The significance of the signal is 6.4 stand ...

A measurement of the ratio of the branching fractions of the B+ -> K+mu(+)mu(-) and B+ -> K(+)e(+)e(-) decays is presented using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1), recorded with the LHCb experiment at cen ...

van der Waals interactions occur in all molecules and intermolecular complexes but are poorly described by the most widely used electronic structure framework. This paper addresses the efforts pursued in our laboratory to improve the performance of standar ...

A search for direct CP violation in D-0 -> h(-)h(+) (where h = K or pi) is presented using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1) collected in 2011 by LHCb in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. The analysis uses D-0 me ...
