The Affleck-Kennedy-Lieb-Tasaki (AKLT) point of the bilinear-biquadratic spin-1 chain is a cornerstone example of a disorder point where short-range correlations become incommensurate, and correlation lengths and momenta are nonanalytic. While the presence ...

Background Alterations of white matter microstructure have been reported in the psychosis spectrum. However, the development of these alterations during preclinical stages remains poorly understood. The framework proposed by schizotypy research as the pers ...

The study of brain disorders has long been central to both neurology and psychiatry, with these two disciplines evolving as distinct yet deeply interconnected fields. In fact, these specialties often share overlapping symptoms, neural pathways, and treatme ...

On-chip coherent light generation has wide-ranging applications in metrology, spectroscopy, quantum optics, etc. In this study, we demonstrate the generation of coherent light from a silicon-nitride microring resonator using cascaded nonlinear processes. T ...

Although graphene has met many of its initially predicted optoelectronic, thermal, and mechanical properties, photodetectors with large spectral bandwidths and extremely high frequency responses remain outstanding. In this work, we demonstrate a >500 gigah ...

Three-dimensional topological semimetals have emerged as strong candidates to probe new fundamental physical phenomena that could be exploited to develop next generation electronics. However, many aspects of their electronic properties remain unclear. Thi ...

Exploring a wide range of design options is crucial for every sound conceptual design process. In the conventional structural design workflow, optimization techniques are generally employed to generate well-performing design options. However, focusing only ...

Aggregators have an influential intermediary role to exploit the flexibility of prosumers like smart homes for procuring the required capacity of ancillary services to support power systems. Local generation and consumption uncertainties of prosumers affec ...

Previous studies suggest that structural alteration of the corpus callosum, i.e., the largest white matter commissural pathway, occurs after a preterm birth in the neonatal period and lasts across development. The present study aims to unravel corpus callo ...

Activity-based models offer the potential of a far deeper understanding of daily mobility behaviour than trip-based models. However, activity-based models used both in research and practice have often relied on applying sequential choice models between sub ...
