Transition metal dioxygen complexDioxygen complexes are coordination compounds that contain O2 as a ligand. The study of these compounds is inspired by oxygen-carrying proteins such as myoglobin, hemoglobin, hemerythrin, and hemocyanin. Several transition metals form complexes with O2, and many of these complexes form reversibly. The binding of O2 is the first step in many important phenomena, such as cellular respiration, corrosion, and industrial chemistry. The first synthetic oxygen complex was demonstrated in 1938 with cobalt(II) complex reversibly bound O2.
PhotodiodeUne photodiode est un composant semi-conducteur ayant la capacité de capter un rayonnement du domaine optique et de le transformer en signal électrique. Comme beaucoup de diodes en électronique elle est constituée d'une jonction PN. Cette configuration de base fut améliorée par l'introduction d'une zone intrinsèque (I) pour constituer la photodiode PIN. En absence de polarisation (appelé mode photovoltaïque) elle crée une tension. En polarisation inverse par une alimentation externe (mode photoampérique), elle crée un courant.
Marché des droits à polluerLe marché des droits à polluer englobe toutes les transactions par lesquelles certains pays, juridiction ou entreprises, achètent des droits de polluer. En 2005 s’est ouvert le marché européen des droits à polluer, afin de se conformer partiellement au protocole de Kyoto. En réalité ce marché des permis d’émission ne confère aucun « droit à polluer » au sens où il fixe seulement un prix de marché à la pollution en tant qu'une externalité, dotée d'un coût social.
