Structural and electronic factors are crucial to rationalizethedifferent N,O or N,N chelating coordination of pyrazolones containinga pyridine ring. The reactivity of proligand 3-phenyl-1-(pyridin-2-yl)-5-pyrazolone(HLpy,ph) with the (arene)Ru(II) fragment ...

In the last decades, the activation of small molecules has attracted increasing attention for their use as cheap and abundant feedstock. Low-oxidation state uranium complexes have displayed high reactivity towards small molecules thanks to their unique pro ...

A methodology for the C-H azidation of N-terminal proline-containing peptides was developed employing only commercially available reagents. Peptides bearing a broad range of functionalities and containing up to 6 amino acids were selectively azidated at th ...

We report a copper-catalyzed alkynylation of azadipeptides using ethynylbenziodoxolone (EBX) reagents. Nonsymmetrical ynehydrazides could be obtained in 25–97% yield using azaglycine derivatives as nucleophiles. The transformation is compatible with most f ...

The biological N-2-fixation process is catalyzed exclusively by metallocofactor-containing nitrogenases. Structural and spectroscopic studies highlighted the presence of an additional mononuclear metal-binding (MMB) site, which can coordinate Fe in additio ...

A water-soluble coordination cage was obtained by reaction of Pd(NO3)2 with a 1,3-di(pyridin-3-yl)benzene ligand featuring a short PEG chain. The cavity of the metal-organic cage contains one nitrate anion, which is readily replaced by chloride. The appare ...

Despite recent advances in the field of cyclic alkyl amino carbenes (CAACs) including a few complementary synthetic strategies affording CAACs with various substitution patterns, the application potential of chiral CAACs to efficiently catalyze asymmetric ...

In humans, mice, and other mammals key internal organs such as the gut, the lungs, the pancreas, and the liver all derive from the same embryonic tissue: the endoderm. The development of all of these structures thus depends on a same set of early cells, an ...

This manuscript proposes a new dual-mode cell imaging system for studying the relationships between calcium dynamics and the contractility process of cardiomyocytes derived from human-induced pluripotent stem cells. Practically, this dual-mode cell imaging ...

A series of Ga(Q(n))(3) coordination compounds have been synthesized, where HQ(n) is 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-RC(=O)-pyrazolo-5-one. The complexes have been characterized through analytical data, NMR and IR spectroscopy, ESI mass spectrometry, elemental analysi ...

Group 9 metals, in particular Rh III complexes with cyclopentadienyl ligands, are competent C–H activation catalysts. Recently, a Cp*Rh III catalyzed reaction of alkenes with N -enoxyphthalimides showed divergent outcome based on the solvent, with carboami ...

We present a new cell culture technology for large-scale mechanobiology studies capable of generating and applying optically controlled uniform compression on single cells in 3D. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are individually encapsulated inside an optical ...

We have witnessed a wide range of theoretical as well as experimental investigations to envisage external stimuli induced changes in electronic, optical and magnetic properties in the metal organiccomplexes, while hybrid perovskites have recently joined th ...

Nanowire (NW) arrays interfaced with biological cells have been demonstrated to be potent tools for advanced applications such as sensing, stimulation, or drug delivery. Many implementations, however, have so far only been studied with rather robust basic ...

Metal-catalysed C-H bond functionalization has received tremendous attention and developed rapidly over the past decades. Cyclopentadienyl (Cp) metal complexes and their asymmetric counterparts (CpX) are part of a central organometallic category empowering ...
