The emerging inorganic CsPbI(3)perovskites are promising wide-bandgap materials for application in tandem solar cells, but they tend to transit from a black alpha phase to a yellow delta phase in ambient conditions. Herein, a gradient grain-sized (GGS) CsP ...

Research advancements in the field of urinary stents have mainly been in the selection of materials and coatings to address commonly faced problems of encrustation and bacterial adhesion. In this study, polylactic acid (PLA) and polypropylene (PP) were eva ...

Copper indium sulfide quantum dots (QDs) have attracted substantial attention in recent years due to environmental issues and diverse applications. We report the synthesis and characterization of copper-zinc-indium-sulfide (CZIS) QDs and CZIS treated with ...

Large-scale deployment of thin-film photovoltaics will be facilitatedthrough earth-abundant components. Herein, selective area epitaxyand lateral overgrowth epitaxy are explored for the growth of zincphosphide (Zn3P2), a promising earth-abundant absorber. ...

This review focuses on the acceleration of the bactericidal and fungicidal effects by uniform, adhesive Cu-based nanocomposites on textile and thin polymer surfaces. The acceleration of the bacterial inactivation kinetics mediated by Cu, TiO2/Cu and ZrO2-T ...

Aqueous Zn-ion batteries, which are being proposed as large-scale energy storage solutions because of their unparalleled safety and cost advantage, are composed of a positive host (cathode) material, a metallic zinc anode, and a mildly acidic aqueous elect ...

In recent years, considerable efforts have been devoted to developing novel electron-selective materials for crystalline Si(c-Si) solar cells with the attempts to simplify the fabrication process and improve efficiency. In this study, ZnO:Al (AZO) is co-sp ...

Transparent conductive oxides (TCOs) are semiconductor-like materials that exhibit high electrical conductivity and high optical transparency combined. They are adopted in various applications ranging from gas sensors, to electrochromic windows, to photovo ...

Thermodynamic phase diagrams are the cornerstones to develop synthesis of new materials. Zinc phosphide has evolved into a prospective semicontuctor for next generation solar cells, thanks to its abundance and functional properties. Here we derive an optim ...

Transparent conductive oxides (TCOs) are essential in technologies coupling light and electricity. Due to their good optoelectronic properties and the production scalability, Sn-doped indium oxide (In2O3:Sn) is the preferred TCO in industrial applications. ...

We report on the control of the crystal phase of micron-sized planar III-V semiconductor films grown on top of standard (001) oriented substrates. We achieve this by confining the MOCVD process using SiO2 templates and selecting specific growth planes. We ...

Amorphous/crystalline silicon heterojunction (SHJ) solar cells technology is attracting tremendous attention in recent years due to its potential to achieve high power conversion efficiencies at low fabrication temperatures and using few process steps. How ...

Wearable electronic circuits based on the films of gallium and its alloys offer promising implementations in health monitoring and gaming sensing applications. However, the complex rheology of liquid metals makes it challenging to manufacture thin gallium‐ ...

Semiconductors made of earth-abundant elements, such as zinc phosphide, have the potential to substitute less abundant, highly functional compound semiconductors such as InAs or InP. Compound semiconductors in the form of nanowires could revolutionise appl ...
