Ayatallah is a Ph.D. student in the Processor Architecture Laboratory, advised by Professor Paolo Ienne. Between October 2023 and March 2024, she did an internship at AMD in the Research and Advanced Development team, under the supervision of Dr. Kristof Denolf. She received a B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from the American University in Cairo, Egypt in 2020 and started her Ph.D. in the same year. Her research interests include dataflow architecture,
Charlotte Cäcilie Gertrud BunneCharlotte Bunne is an assistant professor at EPFL in the School of Computer and Communication Sciences (IC) and School of Life Sciences (SV). She is part of the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research (ISREC) and the EPFL AI Center. Before, she was a PostDoc at Genentech and Stanford working with Aviv Regev and Jure Leskovec and completed a PhD in Computer Science at ETH Zurich working with Andreas Krause and Marco Cuturi. During her graduate studies, she was a visiting researcher at the Broad Inst
Emma Elizabeth TolleyI studied the universe at the smallest scales at the Large Hadron Collider, now we're getting ready to study it at the largest scales with the Square Kilometer Array. My research focuses on developing high-performance computing and new data science techniques to image and analyse the radio sky.

Alexander MathisAlexander studied pure mathematics with a minor in logic and theory of science at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. For his PhD also at LMU, he worked on optimal coding approaches to elucidate the properties of grid cells. As a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Venkatesh N. Murthy at Harvard University and Prof. Matthias Bethge at Tuebingen AI, he decided to study olfactory behaviors such as odor-guided navigation, social behaviors and the cocktail party problem in mice. During this time, he increasingly got interested sensorimotor behaviors beyond olfaction and started working on proprioception, motor adaption, as well as computer vision tools for measuring animal behavior.
In his group, he is interested in elucidating how the brain gives rise to adaptive behavior. One of the major goals is to synthesize large datasets into computationally useful information. For those purposes, he develops algorithms and systems to analyze animal behavior (e.g. DeepLabCut), neural data, as well as creates experimentally testable computational models.
