This work presents an optimization framework to aggregate the power and energy flexibilities in an interconnected power distribution systems. The aggregation framework is used to compute the day-ahead dispatch plans of multiple and interconnected distribut ...

This paper proposes and experimentally validates a grid-aware scheduling and control framework for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCSs) for dispatching the operation of active distribution networks (ADNs). The framework consists of two stages. In the ...

The problem of securely reconnecting active distribution networks (ADNs) - e.g. microgrids - to their upstream grids at the point of common coupling (PCC) has been extensively discussed by the existing literature. The latter is commonly referred to as resy ...

The penetration of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations (CSs), along with the progressive connection of stochastic distributed generation, is increasing the probability of violating the power distribution grid operational constraints and deteriorate the ...

The increasing penetration of stochastic renewable distributed generation, energy storage systems and novel loads (e.g. electric-vehicles (EVs)) in active-distribution-networks (ADNs) or microgrids has triggered the need to develop real-time (e.g. minutes ...

The high penetration of electric vehicles (EVs) charging stations (CSs), together with the progressive availability of distributed energy resources, increases the risk of grid overloading and power-quality degradation. Real-time control has been advocated ...

With the increasing need of real-time regulation in power systems, grid-aware-control-frameworks are relying more often on sensitivity coefficients (SCs) to formulate and efficiently solve optimal control problems. As known, SCs are the derivatives of cont ...
