Superconductors are characterized by macroscopic phase coherence and have enabled cryogenic electronics and quantum technologies. Recent advances in 3D nanofabrication now offer possibilities for tuning functional properties relevant for on-chip 3D integra ...

Magnetic nanotubes (NTs) are interesting for magnetic memory and magnonic applications. We report magnetotransport experiments on individual 10 to 20 mu m long Ni and CoFeB NTs with outer diameters ranging from 160 to 390 nm and film thicknesses of 20 to 4 ...

Topological magnon bands enable uni-directional edge transport without backscattering, enhancing the robustness of magnonic circuits and providing a novel platform for exploring quantum transport phenomena. Magnetic skyrmion lattices, in particular, host a ...

Magnetic materials hosting correlated electrons play an important role for information technology and signal processing. The currently used ferro-, ferri- and antiferromagnetic materials provide microscopic moments (spins) that are mainly collinear. Recent ...

For understanding magnonic materials the fundamental characterization of their frequency response is essential. However, determining full dispersion relations and real space wavelength measurements are challenging and time-consuming tasks. We present an ap ...

Two-dimensional (2D) hexagonal lattices of Cu disks are shown to induce orientation-dependent magnonic crystal (MC) modes for propagating forward volume spin waves in a single-crystal yttrium iron garnet (YIG) film. The width and depth of the magnonic band ...

We investigate spin dynamics of microstates in artificial spin ice (ASI) in Ni81Fe19 nanomagnets arranged in an interconnected kagome lattice using microfocus Brillouin light scattering, broadband ferromagnetic resonance, magnetic force microscopy, x-ray p ...

Using conventional coplanar waveguides (CPWs), we excited spin waves with a wavelength λ down to 310 nm in a 200 nm thin yttrium iron garnet film grown by liquid phase epitaxy. Spin-wave transmission was detected between CPWs that we separated by up to 2 m ...

We image the remnant magnetization configurations of CoFeB and permalloy nanotubes (NTs) using x-ray magnetic circular dichroism photoemission electron microscopy. The images provide direct evidence for flux-closure configurations, including a global vorte ...

Aperiodicity and un-conventional rotational symmetries allow quasicrystalline structures to exhibit unusual physical and functional properties. In magnetism, artificial ferromagnetic quasicrystals exhibited knee anomalies suggesting reprogrammable magnetic ...

We report experimental studies of spin-wave excitations in individual 22-nm-thick Ni80Fe20 nanotubes with diameters of about 150 nm. We apply Brillouin light-scattering spectroscopy under microwave irradiation, and we resolve sets of discrete resonances in ...

The Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI) has an impact on excited spin waves in the chiral magnet Cu2OSeO3 by means of introducing asymmetry in their dispersion relations. The confined eigenmodes of a chiral magnet are hence no longer the conventional s ...

Exchange magnons are essential for unprecedented miniaturization of GHz electronics and magnon-based logic. However, their efficient excitation via microwave fields is still a challenge. Current methods including nanocontacts and grating couplers require a ...

Defined magnetization states in magnetic nanotubes could be the basic building blocks for future memory elements. To date, it has been extremely challenging to measure the magnetic states at the single-nanotube level. We investigate the magnetization state ...

File formats are described in read_me files in the concerning folder. For plotting and data evaluation, Python 2.7 was used. Example scripts for plotting are provided. ...
