Enhanced second order nonlinear processes in a Si3N4 waveguide following optically induced χ(2) is demonstrated, enabling the detection of a frequency doubled pulsed train and SFG with >-37 dB conversion efficiency for 18 W pump peak power. ...

We report the demonstration of an all-fiber 10Gb/s modulation capable source near 2μm, tunable over more than 60nm with powers exceeding 2dBm, based on parametric conversion and appended Thulium amplification. ...

We demonstrate reconfigurable sinc-shaped RF photonic filters based on rectangular optical frequency comb synthesized from cascaded modulators. Simplicity of the approach and flexibility in bandwidth for fixed free-spectral-range is shown. Phase response i ...

In this contribution, we present how coherent supercontinuum generation in Si3N4 waveguides enabled by fiber laser pumping can be tailored to cover part of the mid-IR spectrum and the use of such sources in spectroscopy. ...

Orbital angular momentum (OAM) spectrum diagnosis is a fundamental building block for diverse OAM-based systems. Among others, the simple on-axis interferometric measurement can retrieve the amplitude and phase information of complex OAM spectra in a few s ...

Continuous-wave four-wave mixing in a 2.5-cm long segment of AsSe Chalcogenide microstructured fiber is demonstrated. FWM products over 50nm are measured for 345mW of pump power and wavelength conversion of 4ps pulses is shown. ...

We report the development of a widely tunable mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser based on a robust chirped fiber Bragg grating (CFBG). By applying mechanical tension and compression to the CFBG, an overall tunability of 20.1 nm, spanning from 2022.1 nm ...

We demonstrate a polarization-maintaining passively mode-locked thulium-doped fibre laser that can operate at two different repetition rates (dual-comb) simultaneously. Based on the presented approach, we observe beat notes with a free spectral range of 1. ...

We report on the use of low-loss Si3N4 waveguides for efficient frequency conversion tunable from the near infrared to the short-wave infrared. We achieve -15 dB conversion efficiency for 200 mW coupled pump power. ...

We report an all-fiber continuous wave source, tunable between 1935-1980nm, based on parametric conversion combined with thulium amplification. More than 150mW of power and 30dB optical signal-to-noise ratio is obtained over the entire range. OCIS codes: ( ...

We present the first demonstration of continuous-wave four-wave mixing at 2μm in short chalcogenide microstructured fiber. Idlers over approximately 15nm on anti-Stokes side of the pump were measured for a coupled pump power of 94mW. ...

We are so accustomed to the time-bandwidth limit that we often take it to be a fundamental relation that cannot be overcome. Contrary to this belief we here propose that the storage/delay time of a system can in fact be decoupled from the operating bandwid ...

We report the inscription of quasi-phase-matching gratings in silicon nitride waveguides for backward second-harmonic-generation enabled by all-optical poling, therefore, circumventing the difficulties in inscribing poled domains with ultra-short periods. ...

High-quality optical sinc-shaped Nyquist pulses with a virtual zero roll-off factor are obtained from the generation of a phase-locked, rectangular-spectrum frequency comb. Tunability over more than 4 frequency decades is demonstrated with

We demonstrate efficient generation of mid-infrared dispersive wave at 3.5 m in a Si3N4 waveguide pumped by a 2090nm femtosecond mode-locked fiber laser. The 8% maximum efficiency allows for a milliwatt-level average power mid-infrared pulse. ...
