Optoelectronic devices and solar cells based on organometallic hybrid perovskites have to operate over a broad temperature range, which may contain their structural phase transitions. For instance, the temperature of 330 K, associated with the tetragonal-c ...

This work was accomplished in the context of systematic examination of a role played by electrolyte cation composition in electroreduction processes. The electrochemical behaviour of molten salts systems where CsCl was used as solvent for potassium and cae ...

The photovoltaic perovskite, methylammonium lead triiodide [CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI(3))], is one of the most efficient materials for solar energy conversion. Various kinds of chemical and physical modifications have been applied to MAPbI(3) towards better unders ...

A novel lithium zinc niobium oxide LiZnNb4O11.5 (LZNO) has been found in the Nb-rich part of Li2O–ZnO–Nb2O5 system. LZNO, with an original a-PbO2 related structure, has been synthesized by the routine ceramic technique and characterized by X-ray diffractio ...

The demand for ever-increasing density of information storage and speed of manipulation boosts an intense search for new magnetic materials and novel ways of controlling the magnetic bit. Here, we report the synthesis of a ferromagnetic photovoltaic CH3NH3 ...

In this paper, with the example of two different polymorphs of KEu(MoO4)(2), the influence of the ordering of the A-cations on the luminescent properties in scheelite related compounds (A',A '') (B',B '')O-4 is investigated. The polymorphs were synthe ...

The synthesis and X-ray structural study of the new family of compounds Ba4Fe4ClO9.5-x with tunable structural modulation are reported. The framework of the structure has the Ba2Fe4O9.5-x composition, with open hexagonal channels extending along the c-axis ...

The crystals of a novel family of rare-earth borate-nitrate compounds, Ln(7)(BO3)(3) (NO3)N3O (Ln = Pr, Nd), were grown at high-pressure in KAs flux and their crystal structure was determined. The new type of the crystalline structure consists of parallel ...

The crystal structure of the pristine (I) and aged (II) crystals of CH3NH3PbI3 (hereafter MAPbI(3)) hybrid organic-inorganic lead iodide has been studied at 293 K with high-precision single-crystal X-ray diffraction using a synchrotron light source. We sho ...

The incommensurately modulated scheelite-like KSm(MoO4)2 structure has been refined in the monoclinic superspace group I2/b(ab0)00 by the Rietveld method on the basis of synchrotron radiation powder diffraction data. The systematic broadening of satellite ...

A detailed synchrotron X-ray diffraction (XRD) study performed with a single crystal of BaVS3 (barium vanadium trisulfide) in the temperature range between 10 and 295 K is reported. Aside from the known tetragonal–orthorhombic (240 K) and orthorhombic–mono ...

Single crystals of Fe[SeO4]OH have been synthesized by hydrothermal treatment. The Fe[SeO4]OH structure was investigated using the superspace approach. It is shown that the structure belongs to a family of compounds including kieserite-like and pauflerite- ...

The incommensurate palmierite-like structure of beta-K5Yb(MoO4)(4), potassium ytterbium tetramolydate, has been refined in the (3 + 1)- dimensional monoclinic superspace group X2/m(0 rho 0) 00, with X = [0 0 0 0; 1/2 1/2 0 0; 0 0 1/2 1/2; 1/2 1/2 1/2 1/2] ...

An environmentally friendly analog of the prominent methylammonium lead halide perovskite, methylammonium bismuth bromide (MA3Bi2Br9), was prepared and investigated in the form of powder, single crystals and nanowires. Complete characterization via synchro ...

Praseodymium molybdate Pr2(MoO4)3 was synthesized using the standard ceramic route. The crystal structure of the material has been successfully solved in superspace group I2/b(Rβ0)00 with lattice constants a = 5.30284(4), b = 5.32699(3), c = 11.7935(1)A° , ...

Layered transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are commonly classified as quasi-two-dimensional materials, meaning that their electronic structure closely resembles that of an individual layer, which results in resistivity anisotropies reaching thousands. ...

X-ray photon detection is important for a wide range of applications. The highest demand, however, comes from medical imaging, which requires cost-effective, high-resolution detectors operating at low-photon flux, therefore stimulating the search for novel ...

The novel iridate Ba8Al2IrO14 was prepared as single crystals by self-flux method, thereby providing a rare example of an all-Ir(VI) compound that can be synthesized under ambient pressure conditions. The preparation of all-Ir6+ iridate without using tradi ...

The previously proposed model postulating that the incommensurately modulated KNd(MoO

Atomic clusters were identified in the ground state of the non-equilibrium Ta phase (Frank-Kasper sigma-structure type) at 15, 120 and 293K. The evolution of the clusters with temperature leads to two phase transformations at 65 and 150K which are related ...
