Violations of CPT symmetry and Lorentz invariance are searched for by studying interference effects in B-0 mixing and in B-s(0) mixing. Samples of B-0 -> J/psi K-S(0) and B-0(s) -> J/psi K+K- decays are recorded by the LHCb detector in proton-proton collis ...

Based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 0.37 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb experiment in 2011, the following ratios of branching fractions are measured: B(B-0 ->pi(+)pi(-))/B(B-0 -> K+pi(-))=0.262 +/- 0.009 +/- 0.017, (f(s)/f(d)).B(B-s(0) ...

The first observations of B-0 -> (D) over bar*(2007)K-0(+)pi(-) and B-s(0) -> (D) over bar*(2007)K-0(-)pi(+) decays are presented, and their branching fractions relative to that of the B ->( D) over bar* (2007)(0)pi(+)pi(-) decay are reported. These modes ...

Bottom baryons decaying to a J/psi meson and a hyperon are reconstructed using 1.0 fb(-1) of data collected in 2011 with the LHCb detector. Significant Lambda(0)(b) -> J/psi Lambda, Xi(-)(b) -> J/psi Xi(-) and Omega(-)(b) -> J/psi Omega(-) signals are obse ...

A model-independent search for direct CP violation in the Cabibbo-suppressed decay D+ -> K- K+ pi(+) in a sample of approximately 370 000 decays is carried out. The data were collected by the LHCb experiment in 2010 and correspond to an integrated luminosi ...

A search for the decays of the B-c(+) meson to p (p) over bar pi(+) is performed for the first time using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies of ...

A search for the D-0 -> pi(+)pi(-)mu(+)mu(-) decay, where the muon pair does not originate from a resonance, is performed using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1) recorded by the LHCb experiment at a centre ...

The first observation of the

{{{{\varXi } ^0_{b}} \!\rightarrow {{J \hspace{-1.66656pt}/\hspace{-1.111pt}\psi }} {{\varXi } ^-} {{\pi } ^+} }}

We present an angular analysis of the B+ -> K*(+)(-> K-S(0)pi(+))mu(+) mu(-) decay using 9 fb(-1) of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. For the first time, the full set of CP-averaged angular observables is measured in intervals of the d ...

The production of J/psi and gamma mesons in pp collisions at root s = 8 TeV is studied with the LHCb detector. The J/psi and gamma mesons are reconstructed in the mu(+)mu(-) decay mode and the signal yields are determined with a fit to the mu(+)mu(-) invar ...

The decay Lambda(0)(b) -> eta(c) (1S)pK(- )is observed for the first time using a data sample of proton-proton collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.5 fb I, collected with the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The b ...

We present a prototype for the first tracking detector consisting of 250 mu m thin scintillating fibers and silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) arrays. The detector has a modular design, each module consists of a mechanical support structure of 10 mm Rohacell f ...

Using 34.7 pb(-1) of data collected with the LHCb detector, the inclusive production of the X(3872) meson in pp collisions at root s = 7 TeV is observed for the first time. Candidates are selected in the X(3872) -> J/psi pi(+)pi(-) decay mode, and used to ...

The first observation of the Bc+→J/ψπ+π0 decay is reported with high significance using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb−1, collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The ...

Searches for heavy Majorana neutrinos in B- decays in final states containing hadrons plus a mu(-) mu(-) pair have been performed using 0.41 fb(-1) of data collected with the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. Th ...

The Cabibbo-suppressed decay Lambda b0-> chi (c1)p(-) is observed for the first time using data from proton-proton collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb(-1), collected with the LHCb detector at a centre-of-mass energy o ...

Observations of exotic structures in the J/psi p channel, which we refer to as charmonium-pentaquark states, in Lambda(0)(b) --> J/psi K(-)p decays are presented. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1) acquired with the LHCb de ...

A proton-proton collision data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1) collected by LHCb at root s = 7 and 8 TeV, is used to reconstruct 63 +/- 9 Omega(-)(b) -> Omega(0)(c)pi(-), Omega(0)(c) -> pK(-)K(-)pi(+) decays. Using the Xi(-)(b ...

The branching fraction and direct CP asymmetry of the decay B +. J/.. + are measured using protonproton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at centre- of- mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 3 fb - 1. ...
