The synthesis and characterization of a series of cobalt(III) complexes of the general type Co(N2O2)(L-2) are described. The N2O2 Schiff base ligands used are Me-salpn (H2Me-salpn = N,N'-bis(methylsalicylidene)-1,3-propylenediamine) (1-3) and Me-salbn ...

Lead halide perovskites have over the past few years attracted considerable interest as photo absorbers in PV applications with record efficiencies now reaching 22%. It has recently been found that not only the composition but also the precise stoichiometr ...

The synthesis of three potentially tetradentate, N2S2 Schiff-base-ligands, containing a disulfide bond, (LSSLThio)-S-Thio(L1), (LSSLBr)-S-Br(L2) and (LSSLDiMeO)-S-DiMeO (L3) are reported. These ligands undergo reductive disulfide bond scission upon reactio ...

Differential geometry provides a useful mathematical framework for describing the fundamental concepts in crystallography. The notions of point and associated vector spaces correspond to those of manifold and tangent space at a given point. A space-group o ...

The bidentate carboxamide ligand N-(thiazole-2-yl) picolinamide (LH) was synthesized in the environmentally friendly ionic liquid TBAB, and the five-coordinated Cu-II-complex, [Cu(L)(2)(H2O)]center dot CHCl3 (1) was synthesized from LH and copper(II)acetat ...

synthesized and characterized by H-1, C-13, P-31 NMR and IR spectroscopies. The reaction of MnCl2 center dot 4H(2)O with L led to the formation of a new 3D system {MnL2Cl2}(n)center dot 34CH(3)OH (C-1). X-ray crystallographic data revealed that the ligand ...

Some triphenyltin(IV) adducts with a family of diphosphoryl ligands, RR'P(O)-X-P(O)RR' (R = OPh, Ph, R' = R, An (aniline)) and X = 1,4-OC6H4O, 1,4-OC6H4NH, 1,4-NHC6H4NH 1,4-(NHCH2)(2)C6H4, 1,3-(NHCH2)(2)C6H4 and piperazine have been synthesized and charact ...

Here, the carboxamide ligandN-(thiazole-2-yl) picolinamide (L) was synthesized in an ionic liquid tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) as the benign reaction medium. The sensitivity ofLtowards different metal-ions was investigated, and a comprehensive, logica ...

Mono-, di- and tri-phenyltin(IV) adducts containing a neutral diphosphoryl ligand, Ph2P(O)OC6H4OP(O) Ph-2, were synthesized and characterized. These 2 : 1 adducts of two trans-organotin(IV) moieties and the bridging ligand all crystallize around a centre o ...

The quest for lead-free light-absorbing perovskite materials has long been the target of researchers to make the 'star' material friendly to the commercial market. After a summary of different lead-free solar absorbers, we demonstrate a zero-dimensional io ...

Polycarboxylate ligands are among the most important building blocks for the synthesis of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). The ability to access these ligands in an efficient way is of key importance for future applications of MOFs. Here, we demonstrate th ...

The base-catalyzed intramolecular hydroamination of 1-ethylaminocyclohexa-2,5-dienes is described. The transformation proceeds through isomerization of the cyclohexa-1,4-dienyl fragment into the corresponding conjugated 1,3-diene prior to the hydroaminatio ...

Two triphenyltin(IV) adducts of difunctional ligands, N-(n-pyridinyl) diphenylphosphinic amide (n = 2 and 4), have been synthesized and characterized by H-1, P-31, Sn-119 NMR and IR spectroscopy. The spectroscopic properties of the complexes were compared ...

The use of crystal engineering to control the supramolecular arrangement of pi-conjugated molecules in the solid-state is of considerable interest for the development of novel organic electronic materials. In this study, we investigated the effect of combi ...

Lead halide perovskites have attracted considerable interest as photoabsorbers in PV-applications over the last few years. The most studied perovskite material achieving high photovoltaic performance has been methyl ammonium lead iodide, CH3NH3PbI3. Recent ...

Pizgrischite, (Cu,Fe)Cu14PbBi17S35, is a new mineral species named after the type locality, Piz Grisch Mountain, Val Ferrera, Graubunden, Switzerland. This sulfosalt occurs as thin, striated, metallic lead-grey blades measuring up to I cm in length, embedd ...

Ionic liquids can retard the perovskite crystallization with the aim to form compact films with larger and more uniformly distributed grain size. The ionic liquid driven crystallization is exploited to prepared a record planar perovskite solar cell with st ...

We developed a cost-effective spiro-type 4,4 ',4 '',4 '''-(2H,2 ' H,4H,4 ' H-3,3 '-spiro-bi[thieno[3,4-b][1,4] dioxepine]-6,6 ',8,8 '-tetrayl) tetrakis(N,N-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)aniline) hole transporting material (PST1) for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) th ...

A series of 10 different mesomorphic semidendrimeric tridentate ligands L5-L14 grafted with terminal cyanobiphenyl groups have been synthesized. Upon reaction with Ln(NO3)(3) (Ln = trivalent lanthanide), the central 2,6-bis(N-ethylbenzimidazol-2-yl)pyridin ...
