This thesis is a study of the spatial evolution of the sound field. We first present an analysis of the sound field along different geometries. In the case of the sound field studied along a line in a room, we describe a two-dimensional function characteri ...

The sampling and interpolation of a sound field in two and three dimensions along a circle is discussed. The Fourier domain representation of the sound field is used, and an angular sampling theorem is developed for the sampling of the sound field along a ...

In this paper, we model a spatially varying channel where a source is moving along a random trajectory with respect to a fixed re- ceiver. The aim is to compute the power spectral density corre- sponding to the channel impulse response as a function of tem ...

We are proposing an interpolation technique for head related transfer functions (HRTFs). For deriving the algorithm we study the dual problem where sound is emitted from the listener’s ear and the generated sound field is recorded along a circular array of ...

We investigate how the sound field induced by an acoustic event evolves over space and time. The characteristics of its bidimensional Fourier spectrum are analyzed and spatio-temporal sampling results using an array of microphones are provided for differen ...

In this paper, we present a technique to record a large set of room impulse responses using a microphone moving along a tra jectory. The technique processes the signal recorded by the microphone to reconstruct the signals that would have been recorded at a ...

A novel technique for the recording of large sets of room impulse responses or head-related transfer functions is presented. The technique uses a microphone or a loudspeaker moving with constant speed. Given a setup (e.g. length of the room impulse respons ...
