A new robust controller design method is developed for linear time-invariant single-input single-output systems presented by their frequency response data. The performance specifications are in terms of the upper bounds on the infinity norm of weighted clo ...

This paper illustrates the practical application of non-iterative correlation- based tuning with guaranteed stability. In this method, a sufficient condition for closed-loop stability is defined as the H infinity-norm of a particular error function. This n ...

Recently, a new data-driven method for robust control with H∞ performance has been proposed. This method is based on convex optimization and converges to the optimal performance when the controller order increases. However, for low-order controllers, the p ...

Nonlinear dynamics of piezo actuators such as hysteresis, distort the Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) images as they adversely affect the accuracy of the nano-positioning setup. To compensate for the effects of hysteresis on lateral scanner actuators of AFM, ...

A variance analysis of the parameters of a plant, belonging to a class of multivariable systems, estimated in closed-loop operation is performed. More specifically, having in mind the control applications where it is not desirable to excite all external re ...

This paper examines the identification of multi-input systems. Motivated by an experiment design problem (should one excite the various inputs simultaneously or separately), we examine the effect of an additional input on the variance of the estimated coef ...

Ever-increasing demands from the industry require better performance out of the same system to achieve a competitive advantage. In systems functioning at different operating points, a fundamental trade-off between robustness and performance can limit the a ...

In this paper an Iterative Learning Control (ILC) algorithm is proposed for a certain class of Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) systems whose dynamics change between iterations. Consistency of the algorithm in the presence of stochastic disturbances is shown ...

A new robust fixed-order RST controller design approach by convex optimization is proposed in this paper. Only frequency-domain data are considered in the approach for linear time-invariant single-input single-output systems. It is shown that performance s ...

A robust PID controller design toolbox for Matlab is presented in this paper. The design is based on linearizing or convexifying the conventional non-convex constraints on the classical robustness margins or H∞ constraints. Then the existing optimization s ...

In this paper, a new discrete-time data-driven distributed learning control strategy for frequency/voltage regulation and active/reactive power sharing of islanded microgrids is proposed. Instead of using the static droop relationship and the conventional ...

The recently-proposed method for iterative correlation-based controller tuning is considered in this paper for the tuning of multivariable Linear Time-Invariant (LTI) controllers. The parameters of the controller are updated directly using the data acquire ...

This paper deals with the problem of sparse H-infinity dynamic output-feedback control of LTI interconnected systems with polytopic uncertainty. The main objective is to find a controller structure with minimum information exchange between subsystems and l ...
