Realizing high‐quality perovskite films through uniform defect passivation and crystallization control is pivotal to unlocking the potential of scalable applications. However, prevalent small‐molecule additives are inherently susceptible to the crystalliza ...

Dye-sensitized solar cells based on nanocrystalline TiO2 have been fabricated with an amphiphilic ruthenium sensitizer NaRu(4-carboxylic acid-4'-carboxylate) (4,4'-dinonyl-2,2'-bipyridine)(NCS)2, coded as Z-907Na, and a series of non-volatile 3-methoxyprop ...

The electrochemical behavior of alpha-Fe2O3 photoelectrodes prepared by spray pyrolysis with different thicknesses was examined under dark and illumination conditions. The main charge transport phenomena occurring in the PEC cell photoelectrodes were chara ...

We report for the first time on co-sensitization between CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite and PbS quantum dots (QDs) in a heterojunction solar cell to obtain a panchromatic response from the visible to near IR regions. Following the deposition of the sensitizers on a ...

The exploration of alternative low-cost molecular hole-transporting materials (HTMs) for both highly efficient and stable perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is a relatively new research area. Two novel HTMs using the thiophene core were designed and synthesized ...

A low band gap quinolizino acridine based molecule was designed and synthesized as new hole transporting material for organic-inorganic hybrid lead halide perovskite solar cells. The functionalized quinolizino acridine compound showed an effective hole mob ...

In this paper, the pore filling of spiro-OMeTAD (2,2',7,7'-tetrakis-(N,N-di-p-methoxyphenylamine)9,9'-spirobifluorene) in mesoporous TiO2 film is quantified for the first time using XPS depth profiling and UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy. It is shown that s ...

A non-aggregated Zn(II)octa(2,6-diphenylphenoxy) phthalocyanine (coded as TT80) has been used as a hole-transporting material for perovskite solar cells. The cells were fabricated under three different configurations by changing the uptake solvent (chlorob ...

In a high capacity primary or secondary cell, the active material of at least one of the electrodes is selected from transition metal oxides or their (partially) lithiated forms, such as TiO2, Nb2O5, HfO2, MnO2, LiyNiO2, LiyCo2, Ldy(NiCo)O2, or LiyMn2O4, in the form of electrically interconnected nanocrystalline particles of 1-250 nm. size. Pref. the particles are mixed with graphite and a binder, e.g. ethylene-propylene-diene monomer or PTFE, and compressed to form the electrode.

The present invention relates to an optoelectronic and/or photoelectrochemical device comprising at least one organic-inorganic perovskite as sensitizer and at least one compound of formula (I) comprising one benzotrithiophene core Q, wherein each thiophen ...

The photovoltaic performance of perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) is extremely dependent on the morphology and crystallization of the perovskite film, which is affected by the deposition method. In this work, a new approach is demonstrated for forming the PbI ...

A highly efficient heteroleptic ruthenium (II) complex cis-di(thiocyanato)(4,4'-dicarboxylic acid-2,2'-bipyridine)(4,4'-di-(2-(4-ditolylamine phenyl)ethenyl)-2,2'-bipyridine) ruthenium (II) (IJ-1) was synthesized and characterized, which when anchored on n ...

Panchromatic response is essential to increase the light-harvesting efficiency in solar conversion systems. Herein we show increased light harvesting from using multiple energy relay dyes inside dye-sensitized solar cells. Additional photoresponse from 400 ...

A solid state p-n heterojunction comprising an electron conductor and a hole conductor it further comprises a sensitising semiconductor, said sensitizing semiconductor being located at an interface between said electron conductor and said hole conductor. I ...

Nanocrystalline electrochromic electrodes offer a promising outlook for the realization of displays characterized by sharp contrast and fast switching. These electrodes are constituted of sintered nanoparticles of a semiconductor, for instance titanium dioxide. Owing to the high porosity of the material, the signal produced by the color change associated to the oxidation or reduction of an adsorbed molecular monolayer can be amplified by a factor of 100–1000, allowing transmittance changes from 79 to 11% of

2D halide perovskites feature a versatile structure, which not only enables the fine-tuning of their optoelectronic properties but also makes them appealing as model systems to investigate the fundamental properties of hybrid perovskites. In this study, th ...

Lead halide perovskites with mixtures of monovalent cations have attracted wide attention due to the possibility of preferentially stabilizing the perovskite phase with respect to photovoltaically less suitable competing phases. Here, we present a theoreti ...

A promising way to enhance the efficiency of CIGS solar cells is by combining them with perovskite solar cells in tandem devices. However, so far, such tandem devices had limited efficiency due to challenges in developing NIR-transparent perovskite top cel ...

A series of metal-free organic dyes exploiting different combinations of (hetero)cyclic linkers (benzene, thiophene, and thiazole) and bridges (4H-cyclopenta[2,1-b:3,4-b']dithiophene (CPDT) and benzodithiophene (BDT)) as the central pi-spacers were synthes ...
