Computer-supported collaboration

Computer-supported collaboration research focuses on technology that affects groups, organizations, communities and societies, e.g., voice mail and text chat. It grew from cooperative work study of supporting people's work activities and working relationships. As net technology increasingly supported a wide range of recreational and social activities, consumer markets expanded the user base, enabling more and more people to connect online to create what researchers have called a computer supported cooperative work, which includes "all contexts in which technology is used to mediate human activities such as communication, coordination, cooperation, competition, entertainment, games, art, and music" (from CSCW 2023).

Durabilité

Les termes durabilité ou soutenabilité sont utilisés depuis les années 1990 pour désigner une configuration de la société humaine qui lui permet d'assurer sa pérennité. Une telle organisation humaine repose sur le maintien d'un environnement vivable, permettant le développement économique et social à l'échelle planétaire et, selon les points de vue, sur une organisation sociale équitable. La période de transition vers la durabilité peut se faire par le développement durable, via la transition énergétique et la transition écologique notamment.

Apprentissage par renforcement profond

L'apprentissage par renforcement profond (en anglais : deep reinforcement learning ou deep RL) est un sous-domaine de l'apprentissage automatique (en anglais : machine learning) qui combine l'apprentissage par renforcement et l'apprentissage profond (en anglais : deep learning). L'apprentissage par renforcement considère le problème d'un agent informatique (par exemple, un robot, un agent conversationnel, un personnage dans un jeu vidéo, etc.) qui apprend à prendre des décisions par essais et erreurs.

Sustainable design

Environmentally sustainable design (also called environmentally conscious design, eco-design, etc.) is the philosophy of designing physical objects, the built environment, and services to comply with the principles of ecological sustainability and also aimed at improving the health and comfort of occupants in a building. Sustainable design seeks to reduce negative impacts on the environment, the health and well-being of building occupants, thereby improving building performance.
