We present specific-heat data on the type-II superconductors V3Si, LuNi2B2C and NbSe2 which were acquired with a low-temperature thermal analysis (DTA) technique. We compare our data with available literature data on these superconductors. In the first par ...

Sawtooth inversion radii and profile peaking factors of a large variety of ohmic and ECH heated L mode plasmas, including, elongations up to 2.6 and triangularities between -0.5 and 0.75, have been investigated in the TCV tokamak. In ohmic plasmas, normalized inversion radii and electron temperature profile peaking factors (corrected for sawtoothing effects) depend solely on the parameter (j)/q(0)j(0), irrespective of plasma shape. With ECH this parameter remains the main scaling parameter. Density profiles

Autofluorescence bronchoscopy is a promising approach to detect and characterize precancerous and early cancerous lesions. Nevertheless, many spectral features of photodetection systems remain unclear and sub-optimal at the present time. We report here a comprehensive study of the autofluorescence of the human healthy, metaplastic, dysplastic and cancerous bronchial tissues, covering a range of excitation wavelengths going from 350 nm to 480 nm. Moreover, the absolute values of these tissue autofluorescence
