The School of Life Sciences at EPFL fosters education, research, and innovation at the intersection of engineering and biology. With 58 research groups in 5 institutes, the school operates at the interface of biology, basic sciences, computer sciences, and engineering. EPFL researchers have unveiled a groundbreaking method using biological nanopores and deep learning to detect protein modifications, offering new avenues in disease diagnostics.
