The SCI SB RH Group, led by Prof. Romuald Houdre, focuses on the optical properties of planar photonic crystals in Si-based and III-V materials. Their expertise ranges from theoretical modeling to nanostructure fabrication and optical measurements. Recent research includes structural slow light effects in coupled cavity waveguides, optical nonlinear effects in high-quality factor photonic crystal cavities, and optical trapping of particles in hollow photonic crystal cavities.
