The Laboratory of Therapeutic Protein and Peptides at EPFL focuses on developing new therapeutics based on cyclic peptides. They specialize in in vitro evolution of bicyclic peptides using phage display technology and high-throughput synthesis of macrocycles. The ultimate goal is to address unmet medical needs by developing drugs that can engage with challenging protein targets. Recent publications include the development of small cyclic peptides that are orally bioavailable, high-affinity peptides against calprotectin, and the synthesis of large macrocycle diversities. The lab actively participates in various international conferences and symposiums related to peptide therapeutics and drug discovery.
