Laboratory of Nanoscience for Energy Technologies

The Nanoscience Laboratory for Energy Technologies (LNET) at EPFL focuses on fundamental research and device development for light-energy harnessing, conversion, and storage systems. LNET explores innovative mechanisms for light harvesting and storage by leveraging non-equilibrium transport processes and strong light-solid-liquid coupling at the nanoscale. The lab's research includes studying plasmonic hot carriers for energy storage, photogating processes for graphene-based energy devices, and utilizing plasmonic and dielectric nanoresonators for photothermal energy conversion.
