The Laboratory of Biomedical Imaging at EPFL focuses on developing new algorithms and mathematical tools for processing medical and biological images. Research areas include image reconstruction, multi-modal imaging, and image analysis. The lab collaborates with researchers in medicine and biology, conducting fundamental mathematical research as well as application-oriented projects. The group is led by Prof. Michael Unser, who has received several prestigious awards for his contributions to image processing and analysis.
