Distributed Electrical Systems Laboratory

The Distributed Electrical Systems Laboratory (DESL) at EPFL, led by Professor Mario Paolone, focuses on developing smart grid concept solutions to efficiently deliver sustainable, economic, and secure electricity supply. Research activities include power distribution, energy storage, forecasting, and power systems trans forecasting. DESL-PWRS Labs aim to integrate the actions of all users connected to the electrical network, whether generators or consumers, through modern control techniques and machine-learning-based forecasting methods.
