Chair of Business Analytics

The Chair of Business Analytics (BAN) at EPFL, led by Professor Negar Kiyavash, focuses on statistical learning theory applied to network inference problems. BAN's research explores the use of non-commutative information structures and causal relationships among network entities to infer statistical causal dynamics in complex networks, from the human brain to financial networks. Their work includes research in causality metrics, algorithmic fairness, privacy, and time series modeling. BAN also offers courses in data-driven business analytics and statistical inference and machine learning.
