The complexity and controllability of turbulence in a magnetically confined plasma are quantified by the dimension of a phase space reconstruction and Lyapunov exponent respectively. Multiple phase space reconstruction methods are implemented and compared to validate the results and a more general approach in the frequency domain is proposed. For this purpose, more accurate Fourier transform and power spectral density estimation are implemented with alternative windowing choices. The improved spectral density provides insight on turbulence and a more precise experimental point of comparison with the theoretical plasma turbulence models.
