Memristive biosensor stands out due to its exceptional sensitivity and its distinctive resistive-switching property. Over the past decade, it has consistently demonstrated a noteworthy capability for bio-sensing. The pivotal role played by the capacitive effect, in conjunction with a memristive device, is instrumental in sensing biomolecules. This article delves into various capacitive coupling strategies applied to the Silicon Nanowire-based memristive biosensor. Notably, the memristive biosensor exhibits its resistive-switching property and outstanding sensing capabilities simultaneously only when biomolecules are appropriately modified on the Silicon Nanowires (SiNW).
