Reflectivity modulation is a critical feature for applicationsin telecommunications, 3D imaging and printing, advanced laser machining,or portable displays. Tunable metasurfaces have recently emerged asa promising implementation for miniaturized and high-p ...

In this work, we develop and study superconducting materials for a broadband microwave single-photon detector for wide-range applications in superconducting quantum devices. Ideal materials of this type should have a superconducting gap of the order of 10 ...

A search for the decay B-0 -> phi mu(+) mu(-) is performed using proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1). No evidence for the B-0 -> ...

This paper studies the continuous-domain inverse problem of recovering Radon measures on the one-dimensional torus from low-frequency Fourier coefficients, where K (c) is the cutoff frequency. Our approach consists in minimizing the total-variation norm am ...

A long, narrow, relativistic charged particle bunch propagating in plasma is subject to the self -modulation (SM) instability. We show that SM of a proton bunch can be seeded by the wakefields driven by a preceding electron bunch. SM timing reproducibility ...

Using a proton-proton collision data sample collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 8.5 fb(-1), the observation of a new excited Xi(0)(b) resonance decaying to the Xi(-)(b)pi(+) final state is presented. The state, re ...

Control of domain and domain wall configurations in antiferroelectrics is a necessary step towards practical use of new functionalities based on polar domain wall structures. Here we propose and demonstrate a domain engineering scheme that provides an anti ...

Triarylamine-substituted bithiophene (BT-4D), terthiophene (TT-4D), and quarterthiophene (QT-4D) small molecules are synthesized and used as low-cost hole-transporting materials (HTMs) for perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The optoelectronic, electrochemical, ...
