DNA serves as an ultra-high-density storage medium for digital information, while memristive biosensors enable both sensing and memory functions in electronics. The integration of these two technologies presents a promising avenue for advancing the field of bio-memory as well as for advanced in-Memory Computing. This report explores strategies for utilizing silicon nanowire (SiNW)- to obtain memristive biosensors to recognize DNA sequences. By tuning the Schottky contacts, the sensing device exhibits distinct memristive behaviors, facilitating applications to in-memory sensing. On the contrary, the device may exhibits less memristive behaviour and, so, facilitating in-sensors computing. Therefore, this study underscores the critical importance of the Schottky barriers and the related biomolecule positioning for effective memristive sensing, paving the way for advancements in bio-memory technologies.
