Optical Implementation of Denoising Diffusion Models for Efficient Image Generation

Abstract

Image generation with diffusion models requires many denoising steps, causing substantial latency in sampling on electronic hardware. To alleviate this problem, we demonstrate that passive modulation layers can perform image denoising and generation optically. Full-text article not available; see video presentation
