Based on 10.64 fb(-1) of ethorne- collision data taken at center-of-mass energies between 4.237 and 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector, we study the leptonic D-s(+) decays using the e(+)e(-) -> D-sD-+(s)(-) process. The branching fractions of D-s(+) -> l ...

The production rate of Lambda(0)(b) baryons relative to B-0 mesons in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy root s = 13 TeV is measured by the LHCb experiment. The ratio of Lambda(0)(b) to B-0 production cross sections shows a significant dependence on ...

The LHCb Collaboration measures production of the exotic hadron χc1(3872) in proton-nucleus collisions for the first time. Comparison with the charmonium state ψ(2S) suggests that the exotic χc1(3872) experiences different dynamics in the nuclear medium th ...

The production of psi(2S) mesons in proton-lead collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of root s(NN) = 8.16TeV is studied with the LHCb detector using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 34 nb(-1). The prompt and nonprompt psi ...

A flavor-tagged time-dependent angular analysis of the decay B0s→ϕϕ is performed using pp collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at s√=13 TeV, the center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb^{-1}. The CP-viol ...

The electron self-interaction is a long-standing problem in density functional theory and is particularly critical in the description of polarons. Polarons are quasiparticles involving charge localization coupled with self-induced lattice distortions. Sinc ...

The overall performance of accelerator magnets strongly relies on electrical and mechanical robustness of their components. With an increase of the energy, future particle accelerators will have to withstand integral doses of ionizing radiation of up to se ...

A search for charged Higgs bosons produced in vector boson fusion processes and decaying into vector bosons, using proton-proton collisions at root s = 13 TeV at the LHC, is reported. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 137 fb(-1) co ...

This article presents differential measurements of the asymmetry between Lambda(0)(b) and (Lambda) over bar (0)(b) baryon production rates in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of root s = 7 and 8 TeV collected with the LHCb experiment, co ...

SixTrack is a single-particle tracking code for high-energy circular accelerators routinely used at CERN for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), its luminosity upgrade (HL-LHC), the Future Circular Collider (FCC) and the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) simulat ...

The CP-violating charge asymmetry in B-+/- -> phi K-+/- decays is measured in a sample of pp collisions at 7 TeV centre-of-mass energy, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb-1 collected by the LHCb experiment. The result is A(CP)(B-+/- -> phi ...

Higgs inflation can occur if the Standard Model (SM) is a self-consistent effective field theory up to inflationary scale. This leads to an upper bound on the top Yukawa coupling, y(t)(phys) < y(t)(crit) and thus on the mass of the top quark m(t). If m(t) ...

The decays B-c(+) -> J/ psi D-s(+) and B-c(+) -> J/ psi D-s*(+) are observed for the first time using a dataset, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1), collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies ...

A search for the lepton-flavor-violating decays B-s(0) -> e(+/-)mu(-/+) and B-0 -> e(+/-)mu(-/+) is performed with a data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1) of pp collisions at root s = 7 TeV, collected by the LHCb experiment. ...

A search for the decay K-s(0) -> mu(+)mu(-) is performed, based on a data sample of 1.0fb(-1) of pp collisions at root s = 7 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The observed number of candidates is consistent with the backgro ...

Measurements of b hadron production ratios in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV with an integrated luminosity of 3 pb(-1) are presented. We study the ratios of strange B meson to light B meson production f(s)/(f(u) + f(d)) and La ...

We search for lepton flavor and lepton number violating τ decays into a lepton (ℓ = electron or muon) and two charged mesons (h, h′ = π± or K±), τ- → ℓ- h+ h′ - and τ- → ℓ+ h- h′ -, using 671 fb-1 of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymm ...
