Transport modelling of Joint European Torus (JET) dimensionless collisionality scaling experiments in various operational scenarios is presented. Interpretative simulations at a fixed radial position are combined with predictive JETTO simulations of temper ...

In the framework of the EMPIR project MetroBeta, the development and optimization of a double focalizing magnetic spectrometer have been realized in order to measure the beta spectra shape. The acquisition is designed to perform, after focalization by the ...

We study the perspective to observe lepton number violating signatures from heavy Majorana neutrino decays at colliders in view of the requirement to explain the light neutrino masses via the seesaw mechanism. In the minimal model with only two heavy neutr ...

Predictability of burning plasmas is a key issue for designing and building credible future fusion devices. In this context, an important effort of physics understanding and guidance is being carried out in parallel to JET experimental campaigns in H and D ...

Using the kinetic approach, we study the impact of the charged particle dynamics due to the Schwinger effect on the electric field evolution during inflation. As a simple model of the electric field generation, we consider the kinetic coupling of the elect ...

This paper presents two scenarios used for generation of a runaway electron (RE) beam in the COMPASS tokamak with a focus on the decay phase and control of the beam. The first scenario consists of massive gas injection of argon into the current ramp-up pha ...

The measurement of the energy spectra and densities of alpha-particles and other fast ions are part of the ITER measurement requirements, highlighting the importance of energy-resolved energetic-particle measurements for the mission of ITER. However, it ha ...

We present the first steps to develop radiation sensors based on the graphene field effect transistor technology. Such a sensor exploits the ambipolar behavior of graphene near its Dirac point and it is not dependent on collecting charges, but it senses io ...
