This package brings together two Python scripts designed to automate a two-step workflow in Morphe, a local AtoM (Access to Memory) instance used at EPFL (Archives de la construction moderne) for the management of archival descriptions and digitized records. The first script automates the batch import of digital files linked to existing archival descriptions. Using a CSV file of target records and a folder containing the files to upload, it opens the multi-file import interface, uploads the documents, creates linked child descriptions at item level, extracts the URLs of the newly created records, and generates log and summary files. The second script automates the update of descriptive metadata for the records created during the first step. Based on a prepared CSV file, it selectively fills several descriptive fields in Morphe’s editing sections, including identifier, extent and medium, scope and content, and location of copies. Together, the scripts are intended to standardize, accelerate, and improve the reliability of repetitive ingest and metadata enrichment tasks for digitized archival materials in AtoM. They rely on Playwright to automate interaction with the web interface and require a prior manual login by the user. Log files are generated to support traceability, quality control, and error recovery.
