Consumption corridors are often discussed sector by sector, yet housing cannot be bounded meaningfully in isolation. This talk argues that housing corridors must be understood as part of an interlinked satisfier system connecting living space, energy, shared services and infrastructures, mobility, everyday consumption, and food preparation. From a human-needs perspective, these arrangements can function as synergistic satisfiers, enabling wellbeing with much lower resource use. The key challenge is therefore to develop separate but connected corridors for different domains, while linking them to implementation pathways and institutional capacities that remain largely sectoral.
