Reaching net zero by 2050 in Switzerland is a major socio-technical challenge. Existing scenarios can rely on optimistic assumptions, while Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) remains a limited but important option for residual emissions and durable removals. For CCUS to be discussed beyond expert circles, stakeholders need accessible tools to understand its links with energy demand, CO2 flows, costs, risks, and governance choices. In this project, an interactive web application based on a configurable Swiss CCUS Net Zero model for the period 2025-2100 has been developed. The tool allows users to compare four baseline scenarios, modify key parameters, and construct custom pathways. Particular attention was given to accessibility, visual design, colour consistency, and the structuring of model outputs across different levels of complexity. Users can also save custom scenarios, which makes it possible to analyse which assumptions are modified during exploration. Results show that the web app makes visible the trade-offs between sufficiency, technological deployment, storage dependency, energy demand, financial mechanisms, and risk indicators. User engagement remained moderate, although expert mode and usage of graphs were higher in the challenge-prompt group. Saved scenarios indicate that users explored both sufficiency-oriented and technology-intensive pathways. Overall, the web application should not be interpreted as a forecasting tool, but as an exploratory and discussionoriented instrument supporting more transparent engagement with Swiss CCUS transition pathways.
