Our HERUS Jour Fixe seminars provide a dedicated platform for our team to exchange insights on research progress, ongoing projects, and other relevant topics. These sessions foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the group, welcoming guest speakers who present their work, sparking discussions and potential synergies for future projects.
In this seminar, Anna Pagani, researcher at King's College London, presented about causal loop diagrams. Causal loop diagrams (CLDs) are a valuable tool for mapping complex systems by illustrating the interrelationships between different factors through feedback loops. In the context of housing, street, and health (HSH) interactions, a CLD helps identify key determinants—such as environmental health, domestic architecture, and socio-economic inequalities—and how they influence one another over time. By visualizing these connections, CLDs can highlight research gaps, inform policy decisions, and support a more integrated, transdisciplinary approach to urban health and planning.
