The present invention introduces a method for enhancing the selectivity of molecular interactions on biological interfaces by imposing a spatial geometry on nanoscale supports, referred to as nanostructures These nanostructures, designed as two- or three-dimensional platforms, comprise binding units present on the same plane with predetermined set angles or distances. The binding units, identical or of different identities, are strategically arranged to restrict spatial mobility. The method involves placing the nanostructures in contact with corresponding binding partners, allowing the organization of binding partners in the imposed spatial geometry. The invention provides a versatile approach applicable to various biological systems, offering precise control over molecular interactions at the nanoscale. Applications include targeted drug delivery, diagnostic assays, and molecular engineering.
