Abstract

This invention proposes a component distribution scheme, and a mechanism that automatically loads and installs components from a client machine to an Embedded Server. NOVELTY - The method involves transmitting a component loader (12) from the embedded server (1) to an application server (2), then the component loader transmits the business application (13) from a component server to the applications server. The component loader is sent to the application server using a network address stored in the embedded server. USE - For establishing a communications connection between embedded server and client computer. ADVANTAGE - Overcomes certain disadvantages of conventional arrangements, e.g. the high costs of configuration. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: a computer program for establishing a communications connection between embedded server and client computer.
