Applications of functionalized ionic liquids

Recent developments of the synthesis and applications of functionalized ionic liqs. (including dual-functionalized ionic liqs.) have been highlighted in this review. Ionic liqs. are attracting attention as alternative solvents in green chem., but as more functionalized ILs are prepd., a greater no. of applications in increasingly diverse fields are found.
