This work investigates how irradiance, temperature, and electrolyte properties (pH, concentration, and flow rate), influence the degradation of spray-pyrolyzed BiVO4 photoanodes during water splitting for solar fuel production. A novel four-cell photoelect ...

The experimental behaviour of photoelectrochemical materials illuminated under high irradiance conditions >100 kW m−2 has not been studied despite being potentially advantageous for improving the photoelectrochemical performance and the system-level design ...

A multiphysics model was developed for a photoelectrochemical (PEC) cell at the device level to simulate water splitting operating under concentrated irradiation (between 50 to 600 kW m−2). The 2D model couples charge, heat, mass, photon, and momentum tran ...

Advancing towards alternative technologies for the sustainable production of hydrogen is a necessity for the successful integration of this potentially green fuel in the future. Photocatalytic and photoelectrochemical water splitting are promising concepts ...
