The molecular targeted drug ATRA demands a suitable carrier that delivers to the cancer site due to its poor bioavailability and drug resistance. ATRA, being a lipid with carboxylic acid, has been nano-formulated as a cationic lipo-ATRA with DOTAP:choleste ...

The emergence of immunotherapy, including immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) and the adoptive transfer of cytotoxic lymphocytes, such as CAR-T cell therapy, has revolutionized cancer treatment. However, these therapies still face significant challenges in t ...

Cancer cells enriched in cholesterol in their plasma membrane impair T-cell-mediated cytotoxicity, which can be augmented by stiffening the cancer cells via cholesterol depletion, as shown in mouse models of adoptive T-cell immunotherapy. Malignant transfo ...

Protein-based therapeutics, such as monoclonal antibodies and cytokines, are important therapies for various pathophysiological conditions such as oncology, autoimmune disorders, and viral infections. However, the wide application of such protein therapeut ...

Cytokines are key modulators of the immune responses and represent promising therapeutics for a variety of cancers. However, successful translation of cytokine-based therapy to the clinic is limited by, among others, severe toxicities and lack of efficacy ...

Current cancer immunotherapy predominately focuses on eliciting type 1 immune responses fighting cancer; however, long-term complete remission remains uncommon1,2. A pivotal question arises as to whether type 2 immunity can be orchestrated alongside type 1 ...
