Quantum computing and superconducting nanowire (SNWD) detector arrays are two prominent areas of research, offering the potential to address complex problems that are currently intractable with conventional means. Quantum computers promise to vastly accele ...

The analysis of proteins in the gas phase benefits from detectors that exhibit high efficiency and precise spatial resolution. Although modern secondary electron multipliers already address numerous analytical requirements, additional methods are desired f ...

A significant number of cryogenic low -noise amplifiers (cryo-LNAs) are required for the readout of superconducting nanowire detector (SNWD) arrays. It is desirable to have compact cryo-LNAs in place so that the size of the readout circuitry for the SNWD a ...

Microchannel plates are electron multipliers widely used in applications such as particle detection, imaging, or mass spectrometry and are often paired with a photocathode to enable photon detection. Conventional microchannel plates, made of glass fibers, ...

This article presents a cryogenic mode-switching class-F voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) aimed at addressing the demand for wideband, low phase noise (PN) local oscillator signals in cryo-CMOS quantum controllers. First, to resolve the issues of manual ...

Single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs), also referred to as Geiger-mode avalanche photodiodes, are primarily utilized in photon detection and counting. In this work, we present a measurement of the time-of-flight of minimum ionizing particles with outstand ...

This paper explores the retention time (RT) properties of dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) arrays at cryogenic temperatures (4 K). We provide an in-depth examination of leakage sources to elucidate RT behaviour across different temperatures, and we cond ...

Since the early 20th century, molecular beam research has led to many advances in physics and chemistry, from precision molecule metrology, over tests of fundamental symmetries, and molecular quantum optics to applied mass spectrometry. All such experiment ...
