Ever since the advent of Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) the community of its users is expanding which led to a broad spectrum of applications. Most of these applications require AFM instruments with fast, accurate, and reliable performance. The sensors and ...

Supramolecular networks are abundantly present in nature and, like crystalline materials, often develop from an initial nucleation site, followed by growth based on directional interactions between components. Traditionally, the binding strength and direct ...

Dynamic atomic force microscopy (AFM) modes that operate at frequencies far away from the resonance frequency of the cantilever (off-resonance tapping (ORT) modes) can provide high-resolution imaging of a wide range of sample types, including biological sa ...

Hundreds of thousands die annually from malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum (Pf), with the emergence of drug-resistant parasites hindering eradication efforts. Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are known for their ability to disrupt pathogen membranes with ...

Nonlinear dynamics of piezo actuators such as hysteresis, distort the Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) images as they adversely affect the accuracy of the nano-positioning setup. To compensate for the effects of hysteresis on lateral scanner actuators of AFM, ...
