Clathrochelate complexes have been widely investigated with different size and shape and used as building blocks for the obtainment of discrete supramolecular architectures. These clathrochelate complexes are very stable and kinetically inert complexes. A ...

Molecular cages with arylboronate ester caps at the vertices are described. The cages were obtained by metal-templated polycondensation reactions of a tris(2-formylpyridine oxime) ligand with arylboronic acids. Suited templates are triflate or triflimide s ...

Triple‐stranded helicates were obtained by metal‐templated multicomponent reactions of bispyridyloxime ligands with arylboronic acids. The helicates feature two hexa‐coordinated MII ions (M=Fe, Zn, or Mn), which are embedded in a macrobicyclic ligand frame ...

An efficient strategy for the preparation of heterometallic discrete porphyrin assemblies, tuned both in dimensions and number of metal centers, is described. Five rod‐shaped di‐pyridyl FeII‐metalloligands, with varied length (1.5 – 3.2 nm), lateral substi ...
