Expertise Signal Acquisition and Processing, Measurement Applications for Power Systems Current work He is currently working on (i) design and characterization of synchrophasor estimation algorithms for power distribution network and (ii) development of novel acquisition and feature extraction techniques for state identification of power systems in non-stationary conditions. Guglielmo Frigo was born in Padova, Italy, in 1986. He received the B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering and the M.Sc. degree in Bioengineering from the University of Padova, respectively in 2008 and 2011. In 2014, he pursued the Ph.D. degree with the Electronic Measurement Group at the Department of Information Engineering, which he joined from 2011 to 2017. Since 2018, he is PostDoc Researcher at Distributed Electrical Systems Laboratory of Ecole Polytechnique Federal de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. His research interests include novel sampling theories, particularly, compressive sensing theory which he applies to frequency super-resolution, biomedical signal de-noising and phasor measurements on power systems (smart grid measurements). Education Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) | Computer and Information Science 2011 – 2014 University of Padova Directed by Claudio Narduzzi Master degree | Bioengineering 2008 – 2011 University of Padova Directed by Claudio Narduzzi Bachelor degree | Biomedical engineering 2005 – 2008 University of Padova Directed by Luigino Benetazzo
