Anni Matilda KauniskangasCurrent Work
I am currently working as a doctoral researcher as a part of Prof. Shchutska's group in experimental particle physics. I am a member of the LHCb and SND@LHC collaborations. My PhD thesis work is mainly focused on performing a measurement of a rare B-meson decay process using the data from the LHCb experiment.

Alexandre Brea RodriguezTeaching & PhD Courses Selected topics in nuclear and particle physics PHYS-400 This course presents the physical principles and the recent research developments on three topics of particle and nuclear physics: the physics of neutrinos, dark matter, and plasmas of quarks and gluons. An emphasis is given on experimental aspects in these three research fields.

Simon Van MuldersTeaching & PhD PhD Students Daniel Perales Rios, Jan Jakub Frybes Courses General physics : mechanics PHYS-101(a) Give the student the basic notions that will allow him or her to have a better understanding of physical phenomena, such as the mechanic of point masses. Acquire the capacity to analyse quantitatively the consequences of these effects with appropriate theoretical tools.

Theoretical condensed matter physics: theory and simulations of structural, electronic, magnetic and optical properties (Quantum ESPRESSO), ab-initio molecular dynamics (CP2K), and Kinetic Monte Carlo codes; automate Quantum ESPRESSO workflows and high-throughput calculations (AFLOWÏ€); generation of tight-binding hamiltonians, transport properties, and data analysis (PAOFLOW).Materials for photovoltaic: Pb- and Sn-based organic perovskites; investigation and improvement of the HTL-ETL interaction
John Martin KolinskiDr. Kolinski studied Applied Mathematics (Sc.M.) and Applied Physics (Ph.D.) at Harvard University, completing a PhD under the supervision of L. Mahadevan and Shmuel Rubinstein on the role of air in droplet impact. John did his post-doc at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel supported by the Fulbright post-doctoral fellowship. At HUJI, he worked on interfacial instabilities in soft matter in the labs of Eran Sharon and Jay Fineberg. John continues his research into interfacial mechanics at EPFL in EMSI, his newly founded laboratory for the study of Engineering Mechanics of Soft Interfaces.
