Dynamic impedance spectroscopy is a powerful tool to investigate the temporal development of reaction kinetics in electrochemical systems, where the reactive species may undergo irreversible changes during the measurement. In this work we redefined dynamic ...

In this work, the viability of polyaniline as a solid charge storage material in an aqueous redox-mediated flow battery is investigated. Fe(III/II) and V(IV/III) were identified as potential redox mediators to target the emeraldine-pernigraniline and leuco ...

This work investigates the effect of current density on the hydrogen gas bubble formation during electrolysis on a platinum electrode. Local detection of bubble evolution was performed electrochemically by using a hydrogen-collecting microelectrode placed ...

In this work we study the possibility to analyze the non-stationary impedance spectra by employing standard equivalent circuits. For this purpose, the dynamic multi-frequency analysis (DMFA) is introduced and compared with a set of consecutive stationary i ...

The electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide is usually studied in aqueous solutions under ambient conditions. However, the main disadvantages of this method are high hydrogen evolution and low faradaic efficiencies of carbon-based products. Supercritic ...

Corrosion of carbon-based electrodes and bipolar plates is a major hurdle and can be a cause of failure in commercial vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs). Carbon corrosion was found to occur in a commercial VRFB (10 kW/40 kWh), whereby cracks through bip ...
