I graduated in December 2017 from the University of Nottingham, UK with a Master’s degree in Power Electronics and Drives. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Lahore University of Management and Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan. My first research experience was as a research intern at EPFL after being selected at the Summer@EPFL program in Switzerland. Following that I did on research focusing on power quality and power factor correction at LUMS. Now I am working as a PhD student at EPFL in the Applied Superconductivity Group on the Fastgrid project. I work for fast hotspot detection technique using optical fiber sensing in superconducting fault current limiters.
