We report plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition (ALD) to prepare conformal nickel thin films and nanotubes by using nickelocene as a precursor, water as the oxidant agent and an in-cycle plasma enhanced reduction step with hydrogen. The optimized ALD pul ...

Magnons can transfer information in metals and insulators without Joule heating, and therefore are promising for low-power computation. The on-chip magnonics however suffers from high losses due to limited magnon decay length. In metallic thin films, it is ...

Active microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) with integrated electronic sensing and actuation can provide fast and sensitive measurements of force, acceleration and biological analytes. Strain sensors integrated onto MEMS cantilevers are widely used to tra ...

Skyrmions and antiskyrmions are topologically protected spin structures with opposite vorticities. Particularly in coexisting phases, these two types of magnetic quasi-particles may show fascinating physics and potential for spintronic devices. While skyrm ...

Magnonics addresses the physical properties of spin waves and utilizes them for data processing. Scalability down to atomic dimensions, operation in the GHz-to-THz frequency range, utilization of nonlinear and nonreciprocal phenomena, and compatibility wit ...

Magnetic resonance techniques at nuclei and electrons are applied to characterize the electronic structure and collective magnetic excitations throughout the magnetic phase diagrams of the lacunar spinels GaV4S8 and GaV4Se8 showing cycloidal, Néel-type sky ...

We report angular-dependent spin-wave spectroscopy on kagome artificial spin ice made of large arrays of interconnected Ni80Fe20 nanobars. Spectra taken in saturated and disordered states exhibit a series of resonances with characteristic in-plane angular ...

On-chip signal processing at microwave frequencies is key for modern mobile communication. When one aims at small footprints, low power consumption, reprogrammable filters, and delay lines, magnons in low-damping ferrimagnets offer great promise. Ferromagn ...

There is currently an emerging drive towards computational materials design and fabrication of predicted novel materials. One of the keys to developing appropriate fabrication methods is determination of the composition and phase. Here we explore the FeGe ...

Raw data associated to the manuscript “van der Waals Epitaxy of Co10–xZn10–yMnx+y Thin Films: Chemical Composition Engineering and Magnetic Properties", J. Phys. Chem. C 2021, XXXX, XXX, XXX-XXX, DOI: https://doi.org/10.1021/acs.jpcc.1c00452 Abstract: To ...

Exotic magnetic textures emerging from the subtle interplay between thermodynamic and topological fluctuation have attracted intense interest due to their potential applications in spintronic devices. Recent advances in electron microscopy enable the imagi ...

By means of the plane-wave method we study spin-wave dynamics in two-dimensional bicomponent magnonic crystals based on a squeezed hexagonal lattice and consist of a permalloy thin film with cobalt inclusions. We explore the dependence of a spin-wave frequ ...

Raw data associated to the manuscript “Cubic, hexagonal and tetragonal FeGex phases (x = 1, 1.5, 2): Raman spectroscopy and magnetic properties", CrystEngComm 2021, XXXX, XXX, XXX-XXX There is currently an emerging drive to computational materials design ...

We report broadband spin-wave spectroscopy on kagome artificial spin ices (KASIs) made of large arrays of disconnected Ni81Fe19 400-nm-long nanobars. We observed spin wave spectra that varied characteristically upon the separation between neighboring nanob ...

Spin waves can probe the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI), which gives rise to topological spin textures, such as skyrmions. However, the DMI has not yet been reported in yttrium iron garnet (YIG) with arguably the lowest damping for spin waves. In ...

Raw data associated to the manuscript ‘’Reversal of nanomagnets by propagating magnons in ferrimagnetic yttrium iron garnet enabling nonvolatile magnon memory‘’, Nature Communications (2023); doi: https://doi.org/10.1038/s41467-023-37078-8 Information abou ...

Magnons are the quanta of spin waves and transport angular momenta through magnetically ordered materials. They can be used to distribute and control on-chip GHz signals without charge flow, thereby avoiding Joule heating. Beyond multiplexed signal process ...

To realize spin wave logic gates, programmable phase inverters are essential. We image using phase-resolved Brillouin light scattering microscopy propagating spin waves in a one-dimensional magnonic crystal consisting of dipolarly coupled magnetic nanostri ...

Despite the unprecedented downscaling of CMOS integrated circuits, memory-intensive machine learning and artificial intelligence applications are limited by data conversion between memory and processor. There is a challenging quest for novel approaches to ...
